The name “Sheba” dates back to the ancient Sabean Kingdom of Yemen
in the 10th century B.C. Under the reign of Queen Bilqis, commonly
called the Queen of Sheba, the secrets of silver crafting were developed
and silver jewelry flourished.
Legend has it, on a diplomatic mission
to meet King Solomon, the Queen of Sheba presented him with silver,
gold, gems and spices of the region. “I am not a woman but a world,”
she said to him, becoming the embodiment of her region.
Sheba jewelry
is designed to preserve the mystical and ancient symbolism of
traditional Yemeni jewelry, but also express a contemporary spirit—merging
past with present.
